Snow gums… No two are alike
It’s the start of winter here in Victoria and the snow gums are looking amazing with their brilliant reds and oranges! Not only do I love how every snow gum is truly unique but I also love that they change their colours with the weather and seasons.
I titled this piece Eucalyptus Pauciflora (the scientific name for Snow Gums). It’s a lino cut mixed media piece using watercolour. I decorated the photo shoot with paperbark and eucalyptus tree leaves. The design was inspired by one of the beautiful snow gums at Mt Baw Baw – probably the best place in Australia to see snow gums.
