A new linocut set inspired by my garden
Recently I’ve been drawing on inspiration from the many flowers out in the garden here in Gippsland. Spring is the best time to look for some artistic inspiration and so I have been out and about trying to capture the moment.
I recently finished this limited edition lino print called Springtime Blooms, which is part of a set of 7 prints. This piece is printed on delicate Japanese Awagami washi paper embedded with pink and green paper. Awagami paper is handmade in Tokushima, Japan. I discovered it while I was living in Japan and fell in love with the texture.
The Awagami Paper Factory hosts an annual international mini print exhibition I hope to enter in the future.
